Boating

Though beautiful, Marion is an especially difficult boating town. There are no state public boat launches and the town and other property owners ban parking near launches. The town allows use of its boat launch but again, the caveat is non-residents must find other parking.

Fishing
Town and city clerks usually issue fishing licenses, but the Massachusetts Division of Fisheries and Wildlife has also approved other vendors in many towns. See where to get your freshwater fishing license or purchase a resident license online or a non-resident license online.

No license required is required for saltwater fishing in Massachusetts, but the Division of Fisheries and Wildlife publishes comprehensive daily updates on the sport, including local advisories.
