Named after Mayflower passenger William
Brewster, this town is a throwback to Cape Cod’s simpler days and much of its
leisurely charms and natural beauty can be enjoyed without straying far from
Rte. 6A, also known as the Old King’s Highway.
Brewster vacationers traveling along the historic way
will find antique shops, museums, the
Brewster Ladies’ Library and the Brewster Store, where a group of older
residents still gathers on sunny mornings for coffee and conversation.
Rte. 6A rises above the Atlantic Ocean in
places, offering impressive water views from spots like Drummer Boy Park and
opens a door to Mother Nature at Nickerson State Park, 1,900 acres of wooded
trails and ponds stocked with fish year-round.
