Eastham holds breathtaking beauty, from Nauset
Light to the vivid blue of Nauset Marsh to Coast Guard Beach’s powerful waves.
Eastham is hailed as the Gateway to the Cape Cod National
Seashore and the federally protected area holds a whaling captain’s home,
meandering trails and the dunes where author Henry Beston spent a year in a
beach shack, his inspiration for, “The Outermost House.”
Beyond the national park, Eastham is home to three
Mayflower passengers’ graves, Cape Cod’s oldest windmill and First Encounter
Beach, where the Pilgrims first came across the Nauset Indians.
