Falmouth

|

Named for the English
community where explorer Bartholomew Gosnold began his travels, Falmouth has
inspired many on their journeys into the arts, sciences and literature while
mesmerizing with its beauty.
While tourists primarily
know it for top-notch Cape Cod boating and beaches, Falmouth has stirred
greatness from the likes of Katharine Lee Bates', who wrote "America the
Beautiful," and scores of Woods Hole scientists. Visitors can take in Bates'
childhood home in Falmouth Village, the Woods Hole institutions and
aquarium, Nobska Light, Old Silver Beach or hop on the Martha's Vineyard
ferry.
